The University of Florida Division of Continuing Education is a unit of UF colleges that offers continuing education to non-traditional students nationwide.

Established in 1972, the Division of Continuing Education strives to maintain the mission of the University of Florida by providing access to quality higher education that is flexible and convenient and follows the laws, rules, regulations and policies of the State of Florida and the University. The Division of Continuing Education allows working adults, traditional and non-traditional students to continue their education no matter where they are.

University of Florida Degrees

The University of Florida offers distance learning programs at the undergraduate and graduate degree levels. These online degree programs will require formal admission to the University of Florida. Students must meet the University of Florida’s general admission requirements and the requirements that are specified by each online degree program.

University of Florida Degrees Certificates

It takes fewer courses to obtain a certificate at the University of Florida than pursuing a degree program. Students interested in the University of Florida certificates do not necessarily require formal admission to UF; however, a department or college can make admissions a requirement. Permission from the department or faculty coordinator is mandatory before starting a certificate program.
